Overall Rating:  | | Bifuran is a mixture of Nitrofurazone (80%) and Furazolidone (20%). Bifuran possesses bacteriostatic, bacteriocidal and antimicrobial properties useful for treating and controlling bacterial and sporozonoan diseases. It is indicated for the control of Aeromonas spp.,Vibrio spp., and other bacterial pathogens. Bifuran treats external diseases AND internal (systemic) diseases. It can be used as a bath (or dip), a total pond treatment or it can be given orally. It is very effective for controlling ulcers, fin rot, mouth rot and tail rot. Bifuran is a very effective total pond treatment. |

This can be a very effective product. it will turn your water bright yellow, but thats a small price to pay. Also it is very hard to mix into the water, its best to mix it is a separate container, then pour into the pond. But if you are having pond wide bacterial infections, this is a very useful tool.

Its very hard to get it to mix into the water and its even harder to get the yellow out of your pond. For weeks and weeks your pond will be yellow and it takes massive water changes to get it out. I had a pretty upset customer who was having a party a week after I added this to their pond. But the product it works and their fish made a complete recovery, so I guess that's the only thing that really matters.

Really a quality product that does what is says. Far superior to Melafix. The only problem is it will turn your water bright yellow and it can take a couple weeks before it clears. But worth it when you have sick fish

Excellent strength medication to treat ulcers caused by pseudomas and aeromonas bateria. This one actually can do entire pond treatments. Can get expensive, so treating a QT is alot cheaper. Good product, you will see results within a few days of treatment
