Aladdin No-Niche Skimmer

Easily retrofit your existing pond with this skimmer unit. Effectively removes floating leaves from the surface. It has a large basket strainer capacity. The float weir allows varied pond water level.

Requires water suction from intake side of a pump to operate. Minimum flow rate is 800 GPH.

Requires a 1-1/2" minimum side wall or floor port to "tap into" suction side of pump.

A rigid or flexible liner can be retrofitted to use this skimmer by adding a bulkhead fitting to the wall or floor of a pond (for proper positioning in pond).

The float ring weir has up to 5-1/2" of vertical travel to allow for water level changes; ie: filter back-flushes, water changes and waves created by waterfall.

The skimmer has a 1-1/2" NPT female thread in the bottom of the skimmer for suction line hook up.

This is a great skimmer for any size pond that I've had. I've used these skimmers on all my ponds for over 14 years. Currently pond has 186 sq feet surface area. The only fault is the leaf baskets' volume. And it may need to be emptied several times per day in the fall. It is one of the safest available and won't harm koi wether they are spawning, or just over excited about feeding. And only fry could get caught in the basket. I highly recomend this unit.

have one of this, it clean up the surface of the pond.
It even clean up the frame on top of the pond water surface.
The bigger pump you have, the fast clean up suction for it to work.
I will not let it go by without one in my pond.

Great little skimmer for smaller ponds. Easy to plumb w/o cutting through the liner. Perfect as a retro skimmer.
