Purchased and used this a few times. Smells awful. Not sure how good it works but I never had high ammonia or nitrites, so I am assuming it helped when starting up my pond.

purchased the 950 to use on a fountain, but this wasn't enough to keep it running full speed. Now use it on a Quarantine tank and its much easier to clean the sponge than trying to get it out of our larger pond. Somehow within the first year, the impeller broke, but was replaced under warranty.Good small pump.

Do not like this at all. Thought it was the best when I saw it and first purchased it. Drain hose constantly falls off.If its not at the right level, it won't empty. Now it seems when it does have suction, body is being sucked inward. I believe it is now leaking at the base. Cord holder and on/off button is falling apart. Only owned it a little over a year, but threw the box out after it got wet, so I am stuck with it. When it work, it seems great, but it just isn't holding up at all. I need a vacuum, but I can't stand using this.

Came with my savio waterfall filter. Works well. I like to stuff mine in a bag as when I tried to remove to rinse, well I must say it was a little harder than when I first put it in. comes in this nice compact little roll but boy when you unravel it, its everywhere, so a large laundry bag makes it easier to pull and rinse. Doesn't need much rinsing itself, but in order for me to get to the base of the waterfall filter, the bag made it easier.

purchased the black night brushes for my skimmer and these work okay. Alot of debris falls off when you pull to remove to clean, but I simply hated the skimmer filter pad while using a submersible pump in the unit, so these were a better option. Won't clog as easily as a pad, so that pretty much says it all.

I liked this magazine, especially when we were first looking into ponds. Lots of pictures and ideas. Everyone has to start somewhere. Can be found at bookstores. Shows water gardens as well as formal ponds, so if you're not sure what you want, page through a few issues to see what others have.

again, I used this as a "shotgun" treatment as I didn't own a scope to verify what the exact problem was. Check around on pricing. Confused as to whether or not UV should be on while treating with this product, but everyone got through whatever was ailing them, so I keep it on hand, just in case.I don't think this has an expiration date, so I make sure its in my stock cabinet, just in case.

although I did not have a scope to verify flukes, this seems to be the medicine of choice by more advanced professionals and hobbyists. Not having a scope , I did the "shotgun" treatment and everyone seems to be in good health. I since have always kept this on hand and purchased a scope to confirm what I am treating. Shop around as my first purchase was expensive and my second was a much better deal.At any rate, well worth it, whatever the cost as it is certainly much less than the cost of fish in our pond.

well worth the money. Just as easy as other liquid tests.Purchased this simply because I needed KH/GH tests and no singles were sold other than in this kit. Know I will use all the other tests when needed.

Again, I did not like these strips. Had my well chlorinated and needed to be sure the chlorine was out of my system. These test strips repeatly show no chlorine levels, but with a liquid pool chlorine tester, the levels were present. Not sure how much it takes to harm fish, but I am not risking it. will not buy again.

I test alot so this is a better value than buying individually for me. Doesn't include salt or KH/GH, but easy to read. I thought low end PH was a waste, but then I test my well and tap occaissionally, so I still use them.

Have an Aqua 120 on our 4000 gallon pond in full sun. Always clear right down to the rocks the koi dig out of the pots. Never a problem. Ordered extra 2" unions to make replaceable line for removal of actual UV during the winter months. Easy installation.

Review:
My first skimmer purchase 2 years ago. Easy install. basic. Good size basket for leaf collection. We went with 16" weir. Not fond of the pad as it seems to clog easily. I currently have a sumbersible in this skimmer and I am constantly watching the water level in it as the pad gets dirty. Rugged skimmer. Purchased one for our new pond, but will set it up with exterior pump and maybe brushes in place of the pad. We are in full sun, so perhaps that's why I get more fine particles in the pad.It catches some lose leaves that blow in, but frankly, we net our pond when the leaves start to fall, so we don't depend on it for catching all our leaves. Not sure how it performs with full leaf basket. I would recommend it for use with submersible pump as I am always worried about the pump running dry. Started with the UV's but have since upgraded that to an external unit as well as it couldn't keep up with our need for clear water.

Installed a Sac 15 on our 4000 gallon liner pond in June 08. Drained the pond for a retro fit drain and had no amm, nitrite or nitrate readings since restart. Pond is over stocked as we are in the process of building a 12,000 pond which we have already purchased the Sac 15 Bead and glass for. Backwashing is as easy as it gets. This will be our first winter with a filter running so we can't comment on how it will perform when the temps drop down. Simply the best with the best guarantee. If we aren't happy with it come spring, the company will take it back.
