I use MicrobeLift PL in the spring and this product in the fall. Does it really work? I don't know if anyone really knows for sure, but I believe that you need your pond to be in tip-top shape as you close it down for the season, so a little extra beneficial bacteria can't hurt. It provides me with peace of mind and all my Koi continue to prosper year after year. I've never lost a Koi coming out of winter into the spring season, so I believe this product is worth trying. The price is fairly reasonable if you catch it on sale at any of the popular online web sites. Also, MicrobeLift is a quality company that has been around for quite some time, so they must be doing something right.

Does it really work??? I have no scientific proof that it does, but I believe that it is worth trying especially for a new pond that you are trying to cycle faster. My pond is over 3 years old and I continue to use it every spring because I believe that it gives the beneficial bacteria in your bio-filter a little boost when it needs it the most. It is readily available online and you can almost always find it on sale somewhere. It is relatively cheap and it gives me peace of mind that I am doing everything possible to keep my Koi healthy and happy. No losses yet, so something is working. Also, MicrobeLift is a quality company that has been around for quite some time and I trust that their products do what they say they do.

Out of the 3 different Koi Clays that I have tried, I liked this brand the least because it did not mix very well and I had some major clumping as I tried to mix it. Overall, I think that any of the 3 Koi Clays I have tried would be worth using, but I liked the Ultimate Koi Clay the best.

Good quality Koi Clay and readily available. This was the first clay product I tried and I was satisfied with the results, but I like the Ultimate Koi Clay the best out of the 3 brands that I have tried so far. As someone else has already commented on, the container is very nice and is re-usable for storing other items. Also, this clay mixes VERY well with little or no clumping.

I have tried 3 different types of Koi Clay and I liked this one the best. It mixes well with very little clumping and it is HIGHLY regarded on most of the Pond and Koi Forums, especially Koiphen.com. I received the best results with this Clay and it was the cheapest price as well!!! Hard to beat in my opinion. Also, some of the smartest and most experienced Koi people swear that Koi Clay DOES make a difference in water quality and the health of your Koi, so you are NOT wasting your money on this product! There are a whole lot of unnecessary additives on the market today, but this stuff is the real deal. Give it a try and see for yourself.

I tried this wheatgerm pellet for the first time this past fall. My fish didn't miss a beat and they appeared to love it. Their colors remained clean, deep, and very bright. The ingredients are high quality with little or no fillers added and the price is fantastic!!! I was 100% satisfied with this Koi pellet!!! It is kind of hard to locate this product, but it is available online if you do a quick google search.

Nice little unit for smaller ponds. I have it hooked up to a Pondmaster 950 with a custom made pre-filter that I only need to clean once a year. The first year I opened up the pond I started to get the ugly green water, but as soon as I installed this UV Sterilizer my pond was crystal clear again in less than 3 days. I have even been able to leave it at the bottom of my pond over the winter with no problems.........starts right back up in the spring......everything A-OK. I have been very happy with the performance of this unit.

I was not satisfied with the quality of these test strips. The colors were hard to match up and I got several strange and unpredictable readings. I prefer the 5 in 1 test strips made by Mardel. Much, much easier to match up the colors and extremely quick and easy. I know alot of folks trash the quality of these strips, but I have used them side by side with the more expensive test kits and I always get the same readings. Mardel is the only company that I have found to make QUALITY and ACCURATE test strips. Why pay more and waste all that time putting drops in little tubes when you can get the same results with the quick and easy Mardel 5 in 1 test strips? You can have peace of mind with your water quality in less than 60 seconds!!!

Kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have used this product for 3 years, and I have not had one single sick fish yet. My guys come out of the critical Spring time looking and feeling good. I have asked some of the top smart guys in the Koi world, and they all tell me that KoiZyme does exactly what it is advertised to do. It truly does WORK.......definitely NOT some magic potion that you are just throwing your money away like some of the products out there. I consider KoiZyme to be some type of an insurance policy to keep my Koi healthy and happy. KoiZyme is the real deal!!!

Product Reviewed: Hikari Wheat Germ (Large, Medium, Mini)

Review:
One of the better Wheat Germ diets on the market today and it is a TRUE Wheat Germ pellet. Wheat Germ is the top or first listed ingredient, so you know there is more Wheat Germ in this pellet than anything else. Many other so called "wheat germ" diets list fish meal as the #1 ingredient and the actual Wheat Germ may be the 3rd or 4th ingredient??? What's up with that??? Not every thing Hikari makes is top of the line (see the staple diet ingredients), but their Wheat Germ diet is the real deal. My fish don't miss a beat when I switch them off of their growth pellets, so this WG diet must be very palatable for our fish. It is priced right as well........very reasonable!

Review:
Yes, this Koi food is expensive.........almost $17 bucks per pound, but if you have young Koi or Goldfish, it's hard to beat. 44 percent protein really does the trick and I like the color of the pellets as well.........makes it real easy for the fish to locate...........seems like some fish have trouble locating green pellets. Turn the bag around and check out the quality ingredients. Again, hard to beat.......Dainichi doesn't take any short-cuts and they use nothing but the very best ingredients. Try it, you will like it and so will your Koi.

I use both the blue and green Matala sheets as part of my pre-filter setup and I have been very happy with the results. This media never seems to clog.......I only clean it once a year and the water flow is not effected and never slows down. This almost seems impossible, but the Matala pads are THAT good. Plenty of surface area for the good guy bacteria and rinsing the pads is very simple and fast. Easy to work with as well......all you need is a sharp knife to cut it to any size you desire. Highly recommended.

I really like this product. Seachem's is a great company that does quite a bit of research with their product line. They only make top of the line quality across the board. I have used many of their products for over 10 years with my indoor aquariums and had great success with all of them, so I naturally wanted to try their pond products as well. I use Pond Matrix in 2 different Bio-Filters and my water quality has been absolutely perfect for going on 3 years now. No complaints what so ever. The beneficial bacteria grows on both the outside and the INSIDE of these stones so even if over-clean this media with tap water by mistake, you still will not lose all of the good guy bacteria growing on the inside. This bio-media cleans very nicely with just a quick back-flush of the bio-filter. Really good stuff!!!
