This is actually a great UV, I only gave three stars because of the price, well above other similar units that I saw. But still a very reliable UV.

I decided to go top of the line with my UV and I do no regret it one bit. I was worried about a plastic UV because overtime they might fail. So the stainless steel body of the Matala unit was just what I wanted. it cost a pretty penny but worth every cent. It handles my high volume and keeps my water looking perfect.

This is my new UV. I am very happy with how effective this UV is. VERY well made and my water is crystal clear and never a spec of green. I am running over 6000 gph through the 75 watt unit. more flow the recommended, but it still doing a great job.

Installed several of these. The entire unit is stainless, even the fittings and threads. 100 years from now you can still use this UV. It will never crack or leak or rust. The cost is a bit higher then other stainless models, but probably because it simply uses more metal. Other models have plastic fittings that will crack and wear out over time.

I have this on my 5000 gallon koi pond and the water is crystal clear. It can handle the high flow from my pump and the stainless steel chamber is really well made. It wasn't cheap but I am happy I bought quality equipment and I know I won't have to upgrade later.
