When I first built my pond I didn't put in a bottom drain. Realizing later I needed one I put this in. It just kinda worked, but not great. It also clogged on me which was a HUGE pain. So the following year I pulled the pond apart and put in a proper drain from under the liner. That worked much better!

effective for small liner ponds. Don't install in high flow applications. But they are a good way to get debris from the bottom of the pond using an external pump.
