good for a water garden or fountain, but not suitable for koi ponds. clogs very easily.

This was my very first filter purchase for my first 500 gallon pond. It did a fine job the first year, but as the koi grew it just couldn't keep up. it clogged a lot and I always had to pull it up to clean it out. That got pretty old pretty fast so I upgraded to an external system. But I think this will be ok for smaller ponds with small fish.
