Evolution ESS Series Self-Priming Pumps are powered by TEFC motors, which provides excellent cooling for better efficiency and motor life.

These extremely durable pumps combine high efficiency, enclosed impellers and run-dry resistant seals with the latest in motor technology to provide many years of trouble free, low-cost service.

The motors utilize an enclosed, fan-cooled body constructed of aluminum alloy.

A very good economy pump. Not as quiet as some of the premium brands and after a year of so they get a little louder. But after several years they are still running strong with no loss of flow. For the money they are a good choice.

I was surprised to see how low the purchase price was for this pump. I saved a lot of money for what seems to be the same quality, similar flow and similar watts. I did notice after about 6 months the pump was not as quiet as is was when we first hooked it up, but its still going strong.

Purchased our first ESS6400 for a retro intall in June of 2008. Can't believe how quit these are. Good pricing and only 3.2 amps. Purchased 2 more and will be ordering the 10500 for our new pond, Highly recommended.
