Complete waste of money. Died after only a few months. Its the cheapest pump available and there is a reason for this. Spend a little more and get a decent pump

This is a strong pump. Had it running my waterfall. It only lasted a year before it went out. It was only running 10 hours a day. It seems the seal around the cord was not very good and water leaked in shorting out the unit. Not a good product.

Warning - don't buy this pump! I purchased the torpedo T4000 on 10/25/10 - It quit suddenly in Jan-11. I was sent a warranty replacement which died in Feb-11. I again received a warranty replacement. This replacement lasted only 1 1/2 days. It died before I could ship back the bad one. I could go a year with free replacements, but I'm afraid to leave my pond for any length of time. Shame on Cal pump - to call this a "pond pump" is basically fraud. I wouldn't touch a cal product again. PS - I wrote directly to cal - they never responded. Bad pump - Bad company.

Yet another terrible product made my Cal Pump. If you like headaches and problems, this is the pump for you. I have removed and thrown away more cal pumps from my customers ponds then any other manufacturer. People buy them because they don't cost much, but they end up costing more when you have to replace them with something better.

I got this at the same time i got my cal filter. The pump didn't last as long as the filter and the filter only lasted a year.

We bought this as a back up because it was on sale and we figured it would be good to have. We used it for about a month before it died...no wonder it was on sale.
