We have installed MANY of these pumps. The PWM series is MUCH better than it's sister series, the PW. I think that the PWM series sometimes gets a bad rap due to the common failures of the PW series. DO NOT be confused when making a pump purchase. BUY PWM!!!

I've had 0 - zero - nada - zip, success with Cal pumps. After getting 2 with electrical shorts, replacing it to get one with a crack and oil leak and then that replacement had an electrical short, I gave up.

I switched to Pondmaster and haven't looked back. I'm just glad I didn't get electrocuted.

worthless piece of junk!!! I bought one for a small water garden/goldfish pond I had in the front yard. It died after only a few months. Got a replacement under warranty and that one died too! Don't buy this pump.
