I have read not to use any pH down type of thing, but I run a pH over 9.0 right from my tap and I don't want it that high in the pond. I only have to add this after a major water change to keep the pH from getting too high, then I never have to add it again until the next water change. I works great for me.

No matter how much of this product you put in the water the PH is always still off the chart. Two whole bottles in 2 days and did nothing. Use MicrobeLift PH Stabilizer instead.

Don't lower with ph. If you need something to stabilize, use Baking soda. No matter how much you add, it'll stabilize at 8.3.
Look at the reason your ph is up first and always always check ammonia first

After reading tons of info on koiphen, your best bet to maintain Ph would be adding baking soda. This will help stabilize the Ph for at least a couple of weeks. Cons: you might have to purchase the ph Up just in case if ph goes too low. Baking soda will maintain at or around 8.0. Not a must have, but if your wallet is tight, visit your local grocery store and pick up some baking soda
