The TetraPond® ClearChoice™ Pressure Filters force water through sponges and then through bio-rings to help maintain clear and healthy pond water. Its biological filtration converts harmful ammonia into relatively harmless nitrates.

It is designed with an easy, one-step back-flush valve for cleaning sponges and bio-media. You can also bury to conceal and don’t have to worry about a leak due to its robust latches and O-ring seal.

The photo above shows the old version of this filter. The newer version is a much improved design. No more sponges to clean and a lot more media that back washes very nicely. As with all little filters like this, you should cut the recommended number of gallons in half to have a properly sized filter.

I wasn't thrilled with this little thing. Its a pain to get the top off with all those things on the side and the sponges were really hard to clean and fell apart in less then a year. And it was really hard to find replacement sponges. I got it because it came with a built in UV which is nice, but other then that it wasn't a very good filter

not bad for the money. hard to clean the sponges. I saw a newer version (which I don't have) that gets rid of the sponges. Looks a lot better then what I had which is 4 square sponges that clog and need to be cleaned.
