I was a good pump for about 3 years. No problems and quiet efficient operation. Then it started making a grinding noise for a few months and it finally died. It was out of warranty so no help from the manufacturer on a replacement. I had already bought a back up pump a year earlier so I just used that and found the flow to be the same and watts less using my smaller replacement. These W. Lim pumps are one of the more expensive pumps on the market, I was hoping for a bit longer life then 3 years.

This was the first pump i got when i enlarged my pond a few years ago. It died on me in about a year and I tried to get it fixed under warranty, but was told by the W. Lim company that I installed it wrong. I am certain i didn't and I sent them pictures and asked them to tell me what I did wrong and they couldn't. I tried to call and get a resolution and tried to speak to Mr. Lim, but he hung up on me. So the pump is dead and no warranty replacement. I bought a Performance Pro and haven't looked back. I heard good things about these Wave pumps from a member in my koi club, but after the trouble I had I learned I was not alone. Many others on the online koi forums said they had similar issues. If you have any problems with these pumps, don't expect the company to stand behind them.

A good efficient pump at first, very quiet. I had two of these on my pond. But one died within a year and was replaced under warranty. The second one died after two years and was out of warranty. The replacement pump I got under warranty is still in operation after two years. But both of the first two pumps died on me in less then two years. They never ran dry or got wet.

William makes the best pumps! I have a wave I series and decided to swap that out for a wave II 3/4hp to push thru my bead filter. Boy, pushes ALOT of water, strong flow and very energy efficent. Well worth the price and will pay for itself over time

When my pond was first built, the contractor used 2 Hayward 2hp pool pumps. Man did my eletcric bill go through the roof!! I swapped them out with the Wave II and my electric bill was 1/3 what it was. VERY efficient pumps!!
