Taberu is considered to be the staple food in the TOMiGAi Koi food line. It contains a minimum of 35% protein, which is usually used in conjunction with the other TOMiGAi Koi food variants and may be fed all year round. Because lower temperature prohibit your Koi from properly taking in all the nutrients from their food, the lower protein allows the Koi to get the maximum amount of protein their bodies may absorb with minimal waste.

I switched over to this food about seven months ago and since I've been feeding with Tomigai my fishes colors have became brighter and they have gained weight! my fish have never looked so beautiful! my fish just love the taste of the food and have been more active since feeding. I am a believer in Tomigai koi food! I won't feed anything else now! They have different blends that are for different tims of the year and I switch for my fishes needs.I will never feed anything else now! Its made such a incredible difference in my fish I highly recommended thus food! Its made right here in the USA and its always fresh when you receive it! This is an excellent food.Try it for yourselves and you will SEE the differences in your fish! Its truely amazing!

I feed this almost year round, until the water gets below 50. In the very warm months I switch over to the color blend. But this is a great food, I think they even grow during the winter!
