Pretty good food, much better than most of tetra's other koi foods. I have used this for fall feeding in one of my growout tanks and the fish did quite well on it.

Good, basic food. I honestly have never purchased it, but seem to win a couple containers of it at almost every koi show. It is priced a little higher than some foods that I think are better.

this pump is the BEST!! I have 4 of them running....3 for more than 3 years now with no problems or diaphram replacement. You simply cannot get a better pump for even twice as much money.

This pump is very durable and looks like it should have cost way more than it did. It is strong and really pumps out the air. I highly recommend this one!

This is a must-have for treating injured or ulcered koi. Clean the wound and dab a bit of this on. It sticks to the wound much better than the liquid betadine.

This product is marketed as an antibacterial agent (which it is), but it is also wonderful for shipping fish or transporting fish to shows. I would not even try to transport a fish without it!! Excellent product to have in your koi first-aid box.

This product in my opinion is just another "snake oil" magical cure that is on the market. It smells good. That's it. It can help the fish build a slime coat, but also can cause a build-up of slime in the gills, making it hard for an already-sick fish to breath. If your fish is sick, find out what is really wrong with it and treat it accordingly. Please do not rely on magical cure-all's such as this one.

Expensive, but very easy on the fish, unlike some of the other fluke treatments available. This is the only thing I will use for flukes. It is cheaper purchased in bulk (a kilogram at a time) which is a good thing for a club to do for it's members. A kilo is WAY more than most people would ever need.

I'm not sure this product is available in the United States, but I wish it were. A friend who travels to Great Britian gave me a bottle of this and it works very well! It stays on the wound well, and then comes off with no damage to the fish.

It's heavy, but that is the only drawback. This liner is very easy to use. Careful smoothing of the bottom as the pond is filled and carefully pleating the excess into neat folds along the walls results in a nearly invisible liner.

nice for some things, but a little out-dated. The book still suggests salt as a cure for almost all parasites, which is not what the other experts are recommending anymore. Still a very good reference book though.

Excellent, well designed filter. I highly recommend this, especially where space is limited. Use with the EAzy or Answer for mechanical filtration in the center chamber though. The horrible green foam block that is provided for mechanical filtration will cause you use language that would shock your mother!! It clogs frequently and is very difficult to clean. So throw the foam block away and get an EAzy or an Answer and you will love the nexus.

This product is OK as a pre-filter for a small water garden or possibly a pond where fry are being raised, but is not suitable at all as the primary filtration for a pond that contains larger koi or goldfish. It would probably be OK for a 300 gallon quarantine tank if cleaned frequently.

Excellent pump at an affordable price. They are easy to maintain and the impellers do not clog up easily. I accidently overflowed kaldnes (Nexus filter) into the pump suction once and the sequence didn't miss a beat...it sent all the kaldnes through the plumbing and into the pond without clogging.

In my opinion, these are the best pumps on the market. They are very quiet, move a LOT of water and are very forgiving. I accidently forgot to open a valve once after I cleaned a filter and one of my pumps ran dry for over 24 hours. It did not hurt it at all!! My only complaint is that I have to clean the impellers out of my Lim pumps about once a year. Small debris (bits of leaves, an occasional stray piece of kaldnes, etc) will not pass through the impellers and will clog them up over time.

OK for the smallest watergarden, but that's about it. I use this bottom drain in one of my quarantine tanks and it works fine, it just won't flow much water. For a fraction of the cost, a 2" shower drain would work just about as well.

Product Reviewed: Savio Skimmer Filter
Product Rating:
Review:
While I would not expect too much from this skimmer as far as filtration goes, it is a fantastic skimmer. The filter pad makes a good pre-filter and you could add some spring flow to it for some bio filtration, but it is too small to hold much and the flow rates will be too fast for any real bio-conversion to happen. Good for mechanical filtration, not so good for bio-filtration.

This skimmer is solid and sturdy. The UV drops right in, which is much easier than plumbing up a self-contained UV. My only complaint is that the leaf basket is a bit hard to get out.

When I installed mine, I wish I had added a 2" shower drain for cleaning and I also wish I had run a 4" line so the skimmer could gravity feed a filter, but instead I installed a 2" pump suction line. It works, but a 4" gravity line would have been much better. I'll do that on my next pond.
