great media..very good fines collection.Use 1 cubic foot per 1000 gallons minimum..Suggest that you paint the media with microbe lift pl gel before use..Otherwise its slow to mature..I replaced the sponges in a oase 10.1 with 2, two cubic foot bags of this...easy to clean because its in a nylon bag..just shake it up and down and flush...
One of the best medias for removing fines from pond water..does good bio too, when mature..

great product..expensive for a 24 inch hayward pool filter and 4 cubic feet of aqua uv media..when you plumb these, put a valved blower input on the water in line.. you can then use a shop vac or leaf blower to churn the media..

probably the best filter out there if you have lots of cash..filter is basically a 24 inch pool filter with 4 cubic feet of media..thats $600.00 Ive seen a shop vav used as a blower too.. only takes 2 valves added to the input

best of the microbe-lift products is called start, you use less, so the bottle last longer.Great for spring openings or after a power shut down bacteria die in 4 hrs in a summer power outage.keep some on hand....ALL of the powdered stuff is no more than super expensive rid-x that you use for septic systems..save your money

Oase 3000..a very good filter would have been excelent if the stated pond size was correct.. filter is perfect for a 1000 gallon pond with fish..NOT 300.. uv is also sized for 1000.. filter is easy to clean and back flush, a not so on asain copies..most foam filters will clog over time and have to be taken apart and cleaned.. because oase has a pump lever that squeezes the foam.its an exception..it works..Tetra took the foam out of there pressure filters because of cloging.expensive..a good deal when on sale at the end of the year
