I got this quickly after my Laguna heater failed on me. This heater has been great and just finished its 3rd winter without a single problem. Kept a hole open and clean the entire winter. I even felt comfortable enough to go out of town.

The most important thing about a pond heater like this is reliability. It can't break down when the weather really gets bad. If it does then the pond freezes over completely and the fish might not make it. I used this unit for 4 winters in a row and it never let me down.
