Laguna PowerClear Max UV Sterilizers have many features including a quartz sleeve that protects the bulb and helps maintain proper bulb temperature. The unique spiral-shaped contact chamber increases UV contact time that can increase efficiency by at least 50%. Units are rated to efficiently function at a specified flow rate as well as an indicated maximum pond volume. Quickly and easily installs in-line on a pond system thanks to two Universal "Click-Fit" Connectors that allow connections to 3/4", 1" or 1 1/4" hosing. I used one of these for over 5 years. The bulbs always lasted at least 18 months or longer and the unit held up very well. Water was always crystal clear and I pretty much never had to do any maintenance on it.

The first bulb I got burned out in less then two weeks. But Laguna replaced it for free and it has been running well ever since.

I love the quick release for this. When you need to clean it or change the bulb you can just snap it off without touching the plumbing. The UV does a great job, flow rates seem higher then other UVs and the cost for this is less.
