Yes, this Koi food is expensive.........almost $17 bucks per pound, but if you have young Koi or Goldfish, it's hard to beat. 44 percent protein really does the trick and I like the color of the pellets as well.........makes it real easy for the fish to locate...........seems like some fish have trouble locating green pellets. Turn the bag around and check out the quality ingredients. Again, hard to beat.......Dainichi doesn't take any short-cuts and they use nothing but the very best ingredients. Try it, you will like it and so will your Koi.

This product provides lots of growth over the summer. I fed it and had received about 4-5" over the summer.

This stuff is like steroids for growth food. Ordered the 5.5 kg to give it a try. Excellent for small koi 4-6 inches. Saw rapid growth during summer months. Got almost 6-7 inches within the 3 months of feeding. Good food, least amount of waste seen in the pond. But again, all dainichi koi food are expensive. I recommend blackwater creek growth food. Cheap and results are almost the same if not better

My favorite food. I have seen lots of growth with this food. Also, very little waste in the filters. Better then Hikari IMO. In the summer months I mix in the Dainichi Color and in the cooler seasons I use Dainichi All Season. The koi really like this food and its priced comparably to other premium food on the market.
