Do not buy this sinking pellets. Stay away! Look at something else. It's a horrible product. It isn’t slow sinking. They sink as fast as gravel. Doesn't hold its form long and almost immediately crumbles to dust and the as the koi sift through it, it clouds the water so bad that I can't even see my fish anymore. The koi even reluctantly eat this food. I have tried using much cheaper trout pellets with much better results than this. If I could get a refund on the product I would. The dust particles clogs up filters very badly as well. There must be an ingredient in them to hold the dust together. I'm guessing some sort of gelatin. The dust eventually clumps together in corners and dead zones and becomes so heavy that even strong pumps clog up. I have 2 kinds of filters in my pond, a bead filter and a Matala mat filter and this pellet has clogged up my bead filter so bad that I literally had to tear down the whole filter. Even with backwashing it every 2 days.
